Today we had a difficult day in grade 2B. Students have really been struggling lately with our listening and responsibility skills in class. Today was difficult and students ended up having to take a break to think about ways that we can be more responsible, more respectful and practice better listening skills.
In Math we continued to practice our 2-digit addition and subtraction.
In Language Arts we read a biography about Dr. Philip Currie who is a Paleontologist in Canada. He studies dinosaurs! Students learned about this and why it is so important to use order words in our writing and how we can use the words and images of a story to better our understanding.
In Science we began to create animal profiles using website and reading information. Tomorrow we will be in the computer lab working on our own research projects!
Finally we ended our day working on our pen pal letters! Students wrote back to their pen pals in Canada! We will be sending our letters later this week!
See you all tomorrow!
