Good Afternoon Everyone!
Today we had a good but busy Monday! First we introduced our new spelling words and worked on completing our work books.
In Math we continued to work on the subtraction of double digit numbers and borrowing. Students are slowly becoming more confident understanding when they need to borrow and when they don't!
In Science we began to look at strategies that students can use when working on their research projects! They were put into pairs and started to brainstorm and choose their animal topics with their partners. This week we will begin to research our animals and put our information found into proper categories.
In Social Studies we discussed all of the changes that took place throughout the month of March. Students completed their March pages or their 'Changes' booklets!
See you all tomorrow!
Ms. Koniuch
Today's Homework:
1. Read for 20 minutes.
2. Journal: What did you do this weekend?
3. Spelling due Thursday.
NOTE: We have been having trouble in grade 2B with many students not completing their homework. The students are not given that much homework, but what they are given is very important. Although it is the students responsibility to complete their homework, if you could help to encourage them to do it at home that would be greatly appreciated! Thank-you!
