Hello Everyone,
Today we learned a lot about different places in the world during our morning speaking and sharing circle. Students shared where they would want to travel to if they could. I was very impressed with the amount of different responses were shared!
During writing today we began to look at proper sentences and ow we can write more detailed and descriptive sentences. We will continue to practice this throughout the month of November.
During Math students used various parts of a hundreds chart to identify different number that were greater and less than certain amounts.
In Science today we continued to look at matter. Students completed an experiment that required them to predict or guess if they though various items were matter or not. We then placed each of these items in a jar of water to see if the water level went up. If it went up that showed us that the item was taking up space in the jar and is therefore matter! We learned a lot about different types of matter doing this!
Finally during our library period today we continued to practice counting by different intervals and recognizing patterns using numbers through completing different quizzes on the IXL program.
See all tomorrow!

Today's Homework:
1. Read for 20 minutes.
2. Journal: Count forward by 2's. Will you say 52? Show me in numbers. (Students must demonstrate their understanding and ability to count by 2's and show me their work and thinking in numbers, pictures or words).
3. Spelling Quiz tomorrow.
