Hello everyone,
I hope you all had a wonderful Children's Day!
Today we kept very busy! Students completed a thought and imagination activity to start to think about what our new novel study book is going to be about. We also began to read chapter 1 of our new novel 'The Mouse and the Motorcycle'.
During this novel study students will be using the text a lot to start to go back, re-read and use clues and proof from the text to support their ideas and answers. While doing this it would be very beneficial for each student to have their own copy of 'The Mouse and the Motorcycle' By Beverly Cleary.
It is not mandatory, but will be beneficial.
The novel looks like this and can be purchased at any English book store or online.

Today we also worked on introducing Fiction text to the students. We began to look at some of the different parts of it including: table of contents, headings, different fonts, diagrams, graphs and more!
See you all tomorrow!
