Hello all!
We had a very busy morning in grade two today! We came to school and began our day by talking about and reviewing things we have learned about the old days and now.
We then left the school to go to Amsa Prehistoric Park (down the road from CBIS).
At the park students saw many different tools and technologies that people in history used for different things. We also saw old homes that people used to live in during a different time. Students had a lot of questions about the people of histories lives. How they lived, did they go to school, what happened when they died and how we knew that they had been alive!
Students are now working on a follow up activity to show what they had learned about the items they saw today and about how people in the old days used them.
Students also began to brainstorm an item that they can create that would help make our life in modern age (today) easier. We will be working on these creations into next week.
In Science we discussed reptiles and read through written information about reptiles to identify whether they are warm or cold blooded, how they breathe, where they live, how they have babies and what their skin is like. Tomorrow we will be using the information to make our reptile craft activity.
