Hello Everyone!
Today we had a great day and a busy day in our grade 2 class. We worked on a new Social Studies lesson about how we can be positive and hurtful towards friends and how they can be this way towards us. We discussed hurtful things we can say of do that cause 'wrinkles' to form on our hearts, and how even when nice things are said and we are happy and not hurt, these hurtful 'wrinkles' will still be on our hearts. We used this 'wrinkled heart' idea to visualize how our words and actions can affect others.
Today we also participated in Mandarin, Art Enrichment and Physical Education class. In PE we did a warm-up and some stretching and continued to learn new tag games to work on our locomotor skills and practice safety in a gym setting.
Finally we did a short Science experiment to practice doing all of the things that a scientist does (wonder, think, conduct experiment and see, discover and know or learn).
Please encourage students to be reading each night and writing in their Journals! Even if it is brief, all the practice helps! Thank-you for your support in this!
