Good Afternoon Everyone!
Today we had a busy but great Tuesday!
In Math we continued to work on our addition with 2-digit numbers. It is important that students fully understand the process of adding first the ones column, carrying the 1 up and then adding the tens column. They are becoming more and more confident using their words to explain their thinking while solving these problems.
In Social Studies we continued to look at urban, suburban and rural communities. Students began to create flip books that will help them to remember and demonstrate their understanding of each of these communities and the things that can be found in them!
In Language Arts we continued to work on biographies and retelling them in the correct order. Today we also focused on identifying if something is a fact or if it is something we think about (inferences) from what we read and see.
Finally we ended our day in the gym competing and practicing our floor hockey skills! Students have done very well with floor hockey and really seem to enjoy it.
