Hello everyone,
Thank-you for returning our field trip forms so quickly!
Today we kept very busy with Mandarin, Art Enrichment and much more!
In Math we continued our subtraction practice. Students are becoming more confident visualizing the process and being able to explain how they are thinking about it when solving it in their head.
In Language Arts today we read chapter 9 of My Father's Dragon. Students completed a follow up activity to identify various events of the chapter, what Elmer used from his backpack in the chapter and how he used it!
In Social Studies today we looked at various images comparing the olden days in Korea and the world and the modern days that we live in now. We also looked at various forms of transportation and how it has changed, and items and technologies that we use in everyday life and how they have changed.
This was a nice introduction as tomorrow we will be comparing more things during our field trip to the Amsa Prehistoric Park.
Finally we ended our day in the gym for physical education.
Ms. Koniuch
Today's Homework:
1. Read for 20 minutes
2. Journal: Where do you think Elmer and the dragon go when they are rescued? Why?
3. Spelling due Friday
REMINDER: Please dress for the weather tomorrow, as we will be walking around Amsa Prehistoric Park OUTSIDE during our field trip!
