Hello everyone,
Today we kept very busy! This morning we were introduced to 'wants' and 'needs'. Things that we need being things we must have to survive on Earth and wants being things that we would like to have to survive, but do not need. Students completed various activities to identify their wants and needs. They recognized that all peoples needs are the same, where as our wants are all very different!
In Math today we were introduced to double digit addition. Students practiced this as well as reviewed Canadian money and used various coin combinations to create certain amounts of money.
Along with Mandarin and Art Enrichment, students also completed various self-assessments for their portfolios today. This allowed students to reflect on their own learning in the areas of reading, writing, listening and speaking and also their social responsibility in class and at school.
All of the dioramas that were handed in today look great! We are excited to share them with each other and you this week! Thank-you for all of your help and hard work!
Ms. Koniuch
