Hello Everyone!
Today we kept busy putting the final touches on our monsters and writing our good copies. We also put the finishing touches on our personal portfolios. Students designed their title pages and chose certain pieces of work to include in their portfolios based on if they think they did well, if it was their favourite piece, or if they think they could improve. These portfolios will be shared with you during the student-parent-teacher conferences being held next week.
During our Daily 5 block we participated in another class Read Aloud. We read a Halloween story called 'The Littlest Pumpkin.' Students completed story maps for the story to show their comprehension and ability to identify the different components of a story.
Finally we ended our day at the playground for Physical Education.
I am very excited to see all of your Halloween costumes tomorrow! We have a very busy and very exciting day planned!
Don't forget to bring in your bag of nut-free candy/treats for our trick-or-treating activity!
See you tomorrow!
Ms Koniuch
Today's Homework:
1. Read for 20 minutes.
2. Journal: What is your Halloween costume? Describe what it is and what it looks like. If it is a character, who is it, where is the character from, and what can they do?
3. Spelling Quiz tomorrow.
4. Bring back your SIGNED report card.
5. Wear your Halloween costume tomorrow! ^^
