Good Afternoon grade 2B parents! We hope you all had as good a day as us!
Today we continued to work on our accuracy and speed with our addition and subtraction. The grade two's are getting quite confident and good! We also began to work with the numbers 10, 11 and 12.
In Science students completed a sorting activity to practice classifying animals that are vertebrates and invertebrates.
Along with Mandarin and Art Enrichment we also read aloud the story "Enemy Pie." Students really enjoyed this story! After the read aloud we brainstormed about what we would include in an enemy pie. We then brainstormed what the ingredients for a Friendship Pie would look like. Students completed the first part of a writing activity by creating their own list of ingredients for a friendship pie.
Finally we ended our day working on our hand-eye coordination and catching and throwing skills during physical education in the gym.
Have a good night! See you all tomorrow!
Ms. Koniuch
Today's Homework:
1. Read for 20 minutes.
2. Journal: What makes a good friend? Explain (students can write about the characteristics that make a good friend, or the things a person does that makes them a good friend).
3. Spelling QUIZ tomorrow!
