Hello Everyone,
Today we had a very busy day all over the school. Along with Mandarin and Art Enrichment, we also had our first assembly this afternoon. During the assembly the grade ones performed a variety of things for us to teach us about what COMPASSION is, how we can show us and different examples of it! The grade fours then taught us about KINDNESS, as February is Kindness Month at CBIS. Tomorrow students will be taking a pledge to try their best to be KIND to EVERYONE, and throughout February we will be participating in a variety of activities to help promote and encourage kindness!
In Math we continued to look at various ways that we can successfully solve subtraction problems. Subtraction is a little more difficult to students to grasp. We will be taking our time with this to make sure we understand the concept well before moving on!
In Science we continued to work on our informative craft activities for fish! We will finish these projects tomorrow!
Finally we ended our day with some physical activity!

Today's Homework:
1. Read for 20 minutes.
2. Journal: What is kindness? What is compassion? How can I show these things to others? Explain and give examples.
3. Spelling QUIZ tomorrow.
4. Bring in information about your family history. What was your family like in the past. Who were they? Where did they live (if in Korea, where in Korea)? What did they do? What was their jobs?
