Hello everyone,
Today we kept very busy for a Thursday. Along with our usual Mandarin and Art Enrichment we completed our 'Friendship Pie' recipe cards! They look awesome, and the grade 2's were very creative with their pies!
Today in Math we continued our practice and focused on the number 16. Students are also beginning to create their own equations with a given solution. They are becoming more confident with their number partners!
In Science we used all of our learned and grouped information about birds and completed our bird craft activities to hang up in our classroom and school!
Part of our Language Arts today was also to complete our writing of our letters to our pen pals in Canada! Students read the letters that their pen pals sent to them and we responded to their questions, told them new things about us including our Korean names and also practiced our letter writing skills (letter format)!
The grade 2's did a great job with this and really seem to get excited about hearing from their pen pals and writing back to them!
Students were very well behaved today! They were great workers and very talkative!
Ms. Koniuch
Today's Homework:
1. Read for 20 minutes.
2. Journal: What are 3 things that you still want to learn about animals?
3. Spelling QUIZ tomorrow.
REMINDER: As tomorrow is Friday, if it is not too cold we will be going to the playground for physical education. Please send your child to school dressed for the weather!
See you all tomorrow! ^^
