Hello everyone! We hope you had a great day!
Along with Mandarin and Art Enrichment students kept very busy!
In Math today we reviewed our addition and subtraction of numbers 10, 11, 12 and 13.
In Science today we continued to complete our mammals information crafts and displays.
In Language Arts we reviewed the events of chapter 2 of our story. We also discussed all of the things that the cat told Elmer Elevator to bring on his adventure with him. We began to create our own backpacks. Tomorrow we will complete our backpacks that will have the same contents as Elmer Elevators backpack. Throughout the story, as we read further, students will have this visual with them to see which items are being used, and what they are used for!
Finally we ended our day with physical education in the gym and continued to learn the basics of floor hockey (how to hold a stick, placement, aim, and passing).
Today's Homework:
1. Read for 20 minutes.
2. Journal: What do you think Elmer Elevator will use the items in his backpack for? (in his backpack he had: 6 apples, 25 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, 6 magnifying glasses, chewing gum, toothbrush and tube of toothpaste, package of rubber bands, 2 dozen pink lollipops, a sharp jackknife, a comb, a hairbrush, 7 hair ribbons of different colours, black rubber boots, a compass and an empty grain bag that says 'Cranberry')
3. Spelling QUIZ tomorrow.
4. Mandarin due Tuesday.
5. Wear your house colour to school tomorrow!
