Hello all,
As many of you may have heard from your child, there have been more and more incidents lately involving grade 2B students and physical aggression and behaviour. This is an issue that is becoming more common in our class and is starting to be a concern.
Hitting, punching, pinching, kicking and physical actions are not acceptable behaviours and they are not allowed in our classroom or school. Students are spoken to on a daily basis about this, and they will continue to get these reminders.
As a result any student that becomes involved in these scenarios will lose their lunch free time privileges and will be in detention. During these periods they will be working with me on appropriate conflict resolution strategies.
We have and will be continuing to review conflict resolution strategies as a class!
I ask that you please speak with your child about the importance of showing respect to others, always keeping their hands to themselves and always being honest and telling the truth. It is important these reminders are given both at school and at home and are all issues that ultimately are important for the safety of all students.
Thank-you for your concern, understanding and support.
If you have any questions or concerns please email me!!!
Ms. Koniuch
