Good Afternoon Everyone!
Today we kept very busy for a rainy Monday. We were introduced to our new spelling words and did some word work with them.
In Social Studies we discussed change and created our title pages for our 'Book of Changes at CBIS' that we will be adding pages to throughout the school year. We also began the next section of our unit on 'Rights.' We did a role playing activity to practice using 'I' statements in our classroom and at school.
For example, I don't like it when ...
I am uncomfortable when ...
I feel ...
I like it when ...
In math we created our own patterns using dance movements, and continued to review identifying patterns cores and creating cores and repeating them to create a pattern.
Today we also visited the school library to pick new books using our 'JUST RIGHT' steps.
