Hello Parents,
Please send in your Student-Led Conference time request forms as soon as possible!!! For those of you that have not yet returned them I sent a new form home with students tonight with the corrected conference dates.
Conferences will be held on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 6th and FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 7th!!! (I apologize for the error in dates on the original form).
Times are starting to fill up quickly!!
I will be sending home the schedule with the time slot that you receive tomorrow (Tuesday) with students.
Thank-you!
Today students kept busy learning about and practicing setting goals, and identifying their strengths and areas that they need to work on. We completed various self-assessments that looked at reading skills, writing skills and various listening and speaking strategies. These self-assessments will be a part of our portfolios to show students thoughts on how they have been improving and what they need to continue to work on.
In math we reviewed number charts and counting by various amounts (2's, 5's, 10's) beginning at odd and even numbers.
In Social Studies we continued to make our October pages of our 'Changes' books to show changes that we observed throughout the month of October both in the school and outside.
During Daily 5 we went to the library for our reading time and to choose new books for our personal book bins.
Finally we ended the day with Science and learning about matter, and discussing ways that we can identify whether or not something is matter.
See you all tomorrow!
Ms. Koniuch
Today's Homework:
1. Read for 20 minutes and record in Reading Log
