Good Morning everyone!
I hope you had a great weekend! Today we welcomed back our friend Lea who has been in LA, California in school for the last three months! We missed you lots Lea and are very glad you are back! ^^
This morning we began with a speaking circle and asked Lea lots of questions about how school was different in America compared to CBIS!
We introduced our new spelling words and work booklets and continued to work on our autobiographies. Today we wrote our 'My Family' pages of our autobiographies.
In Math today we began to work on addition and subtraction with two 2-digit numbers. To do this we used our place value blocks (rods and units) drawings to identify how many tens and how many ones there would be. This was a little bit challenging for students and we will continue to practice it!
In Science today we began a review sorting activity that requires students to use everything they have learned about the different animal groups to sort and classify animals into their proper group!
In Social Studies today we completed our changes pages for the month of February. Students identified all the changes that have happening in our classroom and at CBIS in the month of February!
See you all tomorrow!
Ms. Koniuch
Today's Homework:
1. Read for 20 minutes.
2. Journal: What do you want to work on and get better at in Term 3? How will you do this?
3. Spelling due Thursday.
