Good Morning everyone! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend!
Today we kept very busy, as most Monday's are. We began with introducing out new spelling words and completing some spelling work activities that work with these words.
In Math we continued on our addition and subtraction practice, however today our focus was on the number 12. Students practiced using various partners to make 12 as well as using different variations of three numbers to create stories/equations that equal 12.
In Science we continued to work on and complete our warm and cold blooded animals booklet that looks at various animals that are warm and cold blooded and how they keep themselves warm and how they cool themselves down.
In Social Studies we reviewed the different parts that are included in most maps (key, legend, cardinal directions, etc). We then completed an activity that made us practice being able to read a map to find certain locations.
Finally we worked on creating the recipes for our 'Friendship Pies' and went to the library to pick new 'just right' books for our independent reading this week!
See you all tomorrow!

Today's Homework:
1. Read for 20 minutes.
2. Journal: What did you do this weekend? Use details to describe it to me.
3. Spelling due Friday.
4. Incomplete Science Work (Warm and Cold Blooded Flip Book)
