Good Afternoon everyone,
Today we had a busy Monday getting back into our routine!
We began with introducing logic puzzles. These are simple puzzles that give students clues they need to use to solve the puzzle and find the correct answers. For example today's puzzle talked about 4 friends and their favourite aquarium animals. Students needed to use the clues to discover what animal was each students favourite. They did well for our first puzzle. We will continue to practice these puzzles!
In Language Arts today we continued to work on our biographies of the people that we interviewed. Students edited and re-wrote their biographies and started to illustrate them!
In Math today we introduced measurement. Students brainstormed all the things that we can measure: time, distance, objects, temperature and more! They then did an activity to compare two items and determine which was shorter and which was heavier! This was a good way to get them thinking about how they can and would measure these two things (height and weight).
This afternoon we also went to the library to exchange our books and work on our research for our animal projects.
See you all tomorrow!
Ms. Koniuch
Today's Homework:
1. Read for 20 minutes.
2. Journal: Free choice.
3. Spelling due Friday.
4. Mandarin homework due TOMORROW!
5. REMINDER: This Thursday, April 16th is Yearbook Picture Day! Students should wear their school CBIS uniforms!
Thanks!
