Hello everyone, and happy Friday!
Along with our spelling quiz, we began our morning with story mapping activity. Students listened to a story read aloud. They then practiced verbally retelling various events and problems/solutions in the story. Finally they created an image story map to retell the story in their own way.
In Math we played a game using dice that involved the students rolling dice to create various numbers, which they then had to order from greatest to least and indicate the greater than or less than number.
This afternoon, along with Music (practice for Christmas concert) and physical education in the gym, we also did some fun activities as a class to say goodbye to Lea until she comes back to join us later on this school year! Good luck in America! We will miss you and can not wait to hear your stories!
Finally we sent out our first letters to our pen pals in Canada today! Students were very excited to get to partner with Canadian students and hear from them and learn about them and what school is like in Canada. Our students wanted to send something special to our pen pals so that they could learn about Korea. They worked together to write down the rules to play ddakji, and we made various paper ddakji to send to our pen pals so they can learn a new, Korean game. We are looking forward to their reply!
I hope you all have a great weekend! See you Monday!
